New World Natives is an American rock band from southwest Ohio. The band was established in 2018 with members of ThunderTaker and Risen From the Fall, who met opening for legendary prog-rockers Kings X. The band was founded by singer Emily Schulte, guitarist Ken Walker, bassist Ryan Palcic, and drummer Cpt. Craig Bishop, who all have extensive playing experience in a plethora of genres. Known for their combination of progressive rock and pop, NWN also uses elements of metal, jazz, and funk to layer their songs.
The NWN creative headquarters is located in the Wolf Creek area and the band is prominent in the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati Ohio markets. New World Natives has made an impact on multiple scenes in a short period of time and has supported multiple national acts, at venues such as Alrosa Villa, Urban Artifact, and the Yellow Cab.
In March of 2019, New World Natives released their first single “Call of the Void” as an independent artist, with an EP coming this summer.
